FAQ

  • Is there cell phone service?

    • There is no cell service or wifi available. LRD takes pride in a "no phones on the dancefloor" policy. We believe in building connections within our community and don't have to worry about the distractions of cell phones. There is a landline on site for emergencies only.

  • Will there be water provided?

    • Absolutely! Please do not bring any plastic water bottles. We will have multiple faucets with fresh mountain spring water, please bring a refillable container to help reduce waste.

  • Can I bring my own alcohol?

    • No. Alcohol will not be permitted and will be confiscated at the gate upon check-in. Please help us keep the line moving by just leaving it home.

  • Will there be a bar?

    • There will be two bars. Full service with cocktails, beer and wine - reminder LRD is a cash only event

  • Will there be food?

    • Yes, there will be multiple food vendors (even healthy stuff) for breakfast, lunch and dinner options.

  • Are tickets refundable?

    • No. However, if you need to transfer the ticket into someone else’s name you can do so on the ticketing website.

  • Who do I contact with ticket issues?

    • All ticketing issues will be handled by the ticketing site directly, not LRD.

  • What's parking like?

    • There is limited parking so please carpool. There are two lots - car camping and general parking. You will be directed to the appropriate lot at check-in. From the general parking lot, campers carry their stuff down to the lower property (about a 10 minute walk). There is no camping in the general parking lot.

  • What's the weather like this time of year?

    • Expect warm days and chilly nights. We are at high elevation so the temperature can drop pretty low at night, make sure to bring proper layering.

LEAVE NO TRACE

Lost River Disco is a "leave it better, leave it beautiful" event.  The land we gather on is held sacred to many people and was founded on environmental education and sustainability.  It is important to take care of this land which is so special to us.  We encourage everyone to bring as little as possible and avoid having too much waste.  We expect all members of our community to "pack it in, pack it out".  If you see a piece of trash on the ground, please pick it up, you never know who is watching; it is contagious and you may inspire others to do the same.  If everyone plays their part in cleaning up after themselves there will be much less work to do in cleaning up after each other, and it will help ensure a future for Lost River Disco at Idaho Basecamp.

Some things we should do to lower our footprint...

  1. CARPOOL - it is good for the environment and takes up less space at Basecamp

  2. Bring a water bottle - we will not be providing bottled water, we have just about the freshest mountain spring water available for free

  3. Share - coordinate with friends and bring only the bare necessities.  The less we bring in, the less we have to bring out
