Lost River Disco is a "leave it better, leave it beautiful" event.  The land we gather on is held sacred to many people and was founded on environmental education and sustainability.  It is important to take care of this land which is so special to us.  We encourage everyone to bring as little as possible and avoid having too much waste.  We expect all members of our community to "pack it in, pack it out".  If you see a piece of trash on the ground, please pick it up, you never know who is watching; it is contagious and you may inspire others to do the same.  If everyone plays their part in cleaning up after themselves there will be much less work to do in cleaning up after each other, and it will help ensure a future for Lost River Disco at Idaho Basecamp.

Some things we should do to lower our footprint...

  1. CARPOOL - it is good for the environment and takes up less space at Basecamp, plus parking is free for vehicles with 2 or more people.
  2. Bring a water bottle - we will not be providing bottled water, we have just about the freshest mountain spring water available for free.
  3. Share - coordinate with friends and bring only the bare necessities.  The less we bring in, the less we have to bring out.
